How to respond to a no-comment (rating-only) review for a Restaurant

In hospitality, tone is everything — diners judge how you'd treat them by how you treat reviewers.

A star rating with no words gives you nothing to react to — but a short reply still shows you're paying attention, and for a low rating it opens a door.

For a high rating, keep it warm and brief and leave an opening to come back. For a low rating with no comment, acknowledge it and genuinely invite them to tell you what went wrong.
