Review response guide

How to respond to a negative review for a Pest Control Company

Pest control turns on results and reliability, homeowners want to know the problem's gone and that you'll stand behind the treatment.

A negative review is public, and it's read by far more people than the one who wrote it. Your reply isn't really for the upset customer, it's for the next hundred people deciding whether to trust you. Handle it well and a bad review can actually win you business.

Use four beats: acknowledge the specific problem, apologize without making excuses, say what you're doing about it, and invite them to continue offline. Keep it to a few sentences, stay warm, and never get defensive.

The review

Treated for ants twice and they're still everywhere.

A reply that works

Ants coming back after two treatments means the job isn't done, plain and simple, I'm sorry. Our service is guaranteed; please call and ask for me and we'll get back out to finish it right.

Tip: Invoke your guarantee and a return visit; results are the whole promise in pest control.
